PLA Raiders not good enough. Cowboys 22, Raiders 6

Foxsports have the Raiders’ tale of woe getting thumped at home last night as Johnathan Thurston ran riot (we’re generally in favour of running riot):

Thurston threw the final pass for three of the Cowboys’ four tries – laying on another double for winger Ashley Graham who took his tally to six tries from the opening five rounds.

It was a costly night for the Raiders with prop Brett White’s season almost certainly over, after he suffered a suspected torn ACL when his left foot appeared to get caught in the Canberra Stadium surface on 20 minutes.

Another long season awaits.

The Raiders really are like Jekyll and Hyde, and you never know which one is going to take the field. Inspired and energetic against the Tigers, yet completely predictable and flat against the Roosters and Cowboys.

The horrific injury rate they’ve had over the last few years is probably the larger cause for concern.

Oh no, it’s happening again …
