Andrew Barr has just facebooked:

The match is set to take place on Tuesday 14th January against England at Manuka Oval in a day/night 50 over one day match under the award winning lights.

The 2014 match will also be the first cricket match played on the new playing surface which will see work begin straight after the GWS Giants AFL match on 7th July. The redevelopment will feature a new outfield, two additional cricket pitches, extra spectator seating and new player dugouts.

The last Prime Ministers XI match to be played featuring England took place in 2011 with England winning by 7 wickets. The match featured a wonderful unbeaten century by English opening batsman Ian Bell.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday 14th July to the general public with Ticketek.
