poachers pantry - restaraunt review

I have had slow service before but this was ridiculous. i was particularly annoyed by the delivery of the platter without accompanying bread. i mean – that was just unprofessional. we asked the waitron several times for the bread. HALF AN HOUR ? It wasnt like they were baking it while we waited it was ordinary commercial bread.
and teh fact i had to open my own bottle of wine. I must call my friends and ask if we were charged corkage.

I doubt i would ever go back there again.

I have to agree with you Bonfire. Whenever I’vebeen there the food has been outstanding, but the service a little slow. The best way to do it, in my experience, is to turn up without a booking, order a platter of mixed meats, and go sit on the grass with a bottle of cab sav while you wait. A fabulous afternoon, if someone else is driving…..

Having been to Poachers a couple of times now, thsi is the kind of service that they seem to provide more foten than not. It is unacceptable.

I buy cured meats there, because the food is good, but would be pretty darn hesitant about taking anyone there to eat again, just because of the service.

Hope they didn’t charge you. Which part of nowhere is it in?
