Pocock gone gone gone

The Brumbies have confirmed our fears and announced that star recruit David Pocock won’t be playing rugby again this season:

David Pocock will miss the rest of the Super Rugby season after rupturing his ACL on Saturday night during the Brumbies win over the Waratahs.

Surgeons were being consulted on Sunday to determine when a reconstruction could take place. It’s hoped Pocock’s leg will be operated on during the week.

“To hurt my knee so early in the season is obviously disappointing, particularly considering how well the team has been playing,” Pocock said.

“When I got here last year I got a good feel for the club’s rehab programs and structures so I know what I’m in for as far as getting my knee back to full strength.

“The medical staff have given me plenty of time to make a full recovery so my focus has to turn to making that a reality. We had 17 different surgeries during the off season so I’ve got faith in the club to get me back to full strength.”

The 24 year old underwent surgery on his other knee late last year.

I think we do need an update on the other PoCOCK!

As a Brumbies fan, my worst nightmare has come true.

Pain would be minimal after the event if it’s a full rupture!

When I saw this headline I thought it was another story about Philip Pocock, failed candidate for Molonglo …

Me too. I though he had died or something. Instead, this thread is about something bad happening.

Here’s hoping he’s not like rocky

Terrible news for Pocock. I thought it was great how he came back on after the game on crutches, did the handshaking bit and congratulated everyone, didn’t look sorry for himself at all.
He must be pretty devastated.
