marquees

There is no day so joyous in the Canberra calendar as BAMOASD. So it’s with some joy I note the marquees are going up in Civic Square.

It’s coming up on 9 February.

Will be interesting to see what happens to all the contaminated water in those blue barrels when the event is completed?

I do enjoy seeing how many countries I can eat at in one day. Bring on the festivities…………

Why are all the roads in France lined with trees?

So the German army can march in the shade!

Boom Boom!

If a particular country has been occupied by visiting armies on more than one occasion then surely their multiculturality has been enhanced.

Not sure the French would agree with you.

An old joke, how many men does it take to defend Paris? Not known, never been tried….

I know it’s a joke, but not so true. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Verdun#section_7

Beer popsicle?? YES PLEASE.

I think someone needs to invent the meat ‘candy bracelet’ to go with the beer popsicles. Then we can live like kings, dammit, KINGS.

It’ll need more than the Poles to be properly multicultural.

Yes but we already get exposed to so many things from England in Australian culture. It would be nice to see other countries less so enhanced.

meat on a stick…is there any better food to eat whilst pushing your way past masses of drunken teens. I like to buy two and use the sticks to rage-poke people out of my way.

Every year I contemplate bringing a garden stake and pretending I just ate a full sheep 🙂 Plus I could use it to joust with the crazy-eyed pram pushers that seem oblivious to the fact that they are running people over with their contraptions.

Woooo Hoooo

This was my first thought to.

Should be great this year, especially with that lower end of City Walk finished and the use of the space pictured. The website could do with some work though…

It’ll need more than the Poles to be properly multicultural.

Looking forward to serving beer to what seems like a squillion people…
