ACT Policing is appealing for information after a man was shot in the leg and slashed with a knife on Monday evening (20 May).

The injured man drove himself to the Canberra Hospital in a silver-coloured Mitsubishi Lancer where he received treatment for his injuries.

The injured man refused to answer police queries about his injuries but police suspect he received the injuries in Tuggeranong.

It is believed the incident happened between 9 pm and 10 pm on Monday evening and police are urging anyone who heard a loud bang or popping sounds that could have been gunshots in that time period to provide details to Crime Stoppers.

ACT Policing is also asking anyone who was driving at that time to check if their dash cam footage includes a silver-coloured Mitsubishi Lancer.

Crime Stoppers can be called on 1800 333 000, or contacted via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
