Police are looking for a man who was involved in an aggravated burglary in Calwell last month after he was caught on CCTV stealing cash register drawers and a case of beer.
Around 11:15 pm on 8 December, staff from the Calwell Shopping Centre heard “loud bangs” coming from the rear of the centre and found two men stealing cash register drawers and a case of beer.
When staff confronted the men, one of the offenders threatened them with a hammer.
Police attended a short time later and arrested one of the offenders a short distance from the centre but the second man was not found.
Police have now released CCTV footage and are asking for the public’s help to identify the man. He is described as around 170cm (5’7”) tall, with a solid build, tanned complexion, and dark hair and beard.
He was last seen fleeing the location on foot towards Johnson Drive.
Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
