ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage to a road rage incident that occurred last Thursday (15 November) when a driver hit a car with a baseball bat and a spanner in an angry attack.

Around 3:45 pm, a white Toyota Camry was travelling southbound on William Slim Drive, Giralang when a black utility stopped, bringing traffic to a halt. A man got out with a baseball bat and allegedly struck the Camry several times before driving away.

The Camry turned left into Chuculba Crescent and parked on the side of the road at which point the utility has allegedly stopped and reversed into the front of the Camry.

It is alleged the driver of the utility got out again and threw a spanner at the Camry before getting back into the car and driving away.

Nobody was injured during this incident.

Police are urging anyone who hasn’t already spoken with police who witnessed or may have dash-cam footage of this incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.

There have been quite a few requests for witnesses of late. My question is do they ever actually finalise a matter?
