Police are appealing for witnesses to a brawl that erupted in the City early on Sunday morning.

ACT Policing said that about 5.15 am police were called to a disturbance on East Row, where a male had been knocked unconscious after being struck in the back of the head, sparking several fights nearby.

Police broke up the brawl and arrested six people, charging them with relevant offences and ordering others to leave the City nightclub precinct.

Several others left the scene before police could speak to them.

Police are calling for anyone involved in this incident, or anyone who witnessed the incident and may have mobile phone footage to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
