ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an incident police are treating as a homicide in Braddon this morning (Thursday, August 4) in which an Asian male aged between 20 to 40 years old was found dead with a major head trauma.
Police were called to a location outside Northbourne Flats on Northbourne Avenue, Braddon around 6.40am. The man’s body was found lying under tree in a grassed area about 15 metres from the roadway.
The man suffered extensive and severe head injuries. It is not known whether any weapons were involved.
Police sealed off the crime scene, including the two southbound lanes of Northbourne Ave and are conducting extensive searches of the area.
Police would urge any witnesses to come forward who may have heard an argument or seen a disturbance in this area between midnight and 6am today are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
