Fire

Evidence suggesting Tuesday’s fire in Bega flats may have been deliberately lit has been uncovered by Police investigating the blaze, reports ABC News.

Police are analysing a substance they believe was used to accelerate the fire in a unit at the Bega flats in Cooyong Street, opposite the Canberra centre.

The presence of such a substance along with the reports of an explosion being the cause of the blaze do paint a nasty looking picture, however there is as of yet no official word on the matter.

Pretty sure insurance job is completely out of the question. Unless you can now insure meth labs or proceeds of crime?

ACT Housing Trust’s new funding model perhaps?

Hmm perhaps someone was attempting to accelerate the process given the complex is slated for demolition sometime in the near future.

Drug lab or insurance job looking more likely by the minute.
