1. Folk Festival Robbery?

    ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred in Mitchell today (April 9).

    Around 1.00pm an 18-year-old man was in a toilet at a folk festival located at Exhibition Park washing his hands when he was approached by three men. The men demanded the victim’s wallet which he handed over immediately. One of the males then grabbed the victim by his shirt and pushed him against the wall at which point this male took the victim’s entry wrist band.

    The first offender was described as around 18-years-old, Caucasian, about 6’ (183cms) tall, with a slim build, a rats tail hanging out of a black baseball cap and was wearing a blue top and tracksuit pants.

    The second offender was described as around 18-years-old, Caucasian, about 5’6” (168cms) tall, with dark hair and was wearing a red T-shirt with writing on the front and blue jeans.

    The third offender was also described as around 18-years-old, Caucasian and around 5’6” (168cms) tall.

    Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen suspicious persons around the public toilet located in between the Circus Square and the Mallee Pavilion at the festival today or who knows the identity of the offenders.

2. Trouble on London Circuit at 4.30am:

    ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an incident which occurred in Civic yesterday (Friday, April 10).

    Around 4.30am police attended London Circuit in relation to a female lying on the road. It was established she had been talking with a group of four men who were in a vehicle at Baileys Corner. The female had her head in the car when the driver accelerated away. The female grabbed onto the car and was dragged for three metres before letting go and falling to the road. The vehicle drove off south on London Circuit without providing assistance. The female was attended to at the scene by ACT Ambulance and conveyed to Canberra Hospital with minor injuries.

    The vehicle was described as a blue metallic Nissan Pulsar hatch back with ACT registration.

    ACT Policing’s crash investigation team attended the scene.

    Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident on London Circuit near Petrie Plaza early Friday morning or who knows the identity of the offenders to contact [them]

3. Thuggies come northside:

    ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery which occurred in O’Connor yesterday (Friday, April 10).

    Around 2.50am a 17-year-old male youth was walking home from the City on Boldrewood Street, Turner, with a number of friends. The group was followed and later chased by another group of around six men. The male youth was separated from his friends and on Miller Street, O’Connor (the continuation of Boldrewood Street), was set upon by the group chasing him. The male youth was assaulted and at some stage lost consciousness.

    The victim was found lying on the footpath and was transported to the Canberra Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries. The victim’s wallet, mobile phone and shoes had been stolen.

    The offenders were described as stocky with one wearing a red shirt.

    Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a group of suspicious persons in the area of Miller Street, O’Connor, early Friday morning to contact [them]

the entire thing is bullshit – from what the other youths said – the guy jumped the fence, and when asked to see his wrist band, he said he got mugged… wanker…

Brave, brave people these three dildos at the folk festival. Three on one….

Oh Thumper, Thumper! Dildos are very useful items that give pleasure to millions if not billions. How could you compare them to three cowardly thieves?

And not something you’d expect at a folk festival. I think Ari’s explanation may be the real story.

Yeah, all I ever saw at the folkies were people with rats-tails and writing on their jeans.

Think, Oyster, think. Hippees are probably easy targets for these kinds of people.

Well, that was certainly entrepreneurial of him!

It’s bullshit. The kid made it all up in an effort to get a free wristband.

So much for the image of folkies being nice, peace-loving people gathering around the campfire singing Kumbaya. When was the last time someone was attacked in a toilet during Summernats?
