1. Gordon Iron Bar Invasion!

    ACT Policing is investigating a home invasion in Gordon around 7.30am today (April 17).

    A male offender entered the Schofield Place home and demanded pain medication from the single male occupant, threatening him with an iron bar.

    The 37-year-old victim refused to provide the medication after the offender hit the victim across the hand. The victim chased the offender from the premises threatening him with a baseball bat. The offender was last seen running down an alleyway at the end of Schofield Place.

    The offender is described as Caucasian, approximately 6’ (183cm) tall, in his late 20s, with a large build and short red hair. He was wearing a yellow hooded jumper/jacket and blue jeans at the time of the offence.

    Police would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or observed someone matching the description acting suspiciously in the area to contact [them.]

To be fair he may have been after Panadene Forte!

I love the ‘demanded pain medication’ bit. I have images in my head of the victim saying “you think that hurts, try this…” before swinging the baseball bat.

Unless of course, the offender knew the victim, and knew the victim had something stronger on-hand, in which case this should be a fairly open-and-shut case, right?
