1. Dude! Where’s my backhoe?

Backhoe

ACT Policing is investigating the theft of a backhoe from the Transport Industries Skill Centre (TISC), Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) site on Sutton Road, Piallago, ACT.

The site was broken into between 3:30pm on Tuesday 15 June and 7am on Wednesday 16 June. Keys to the backhoe were stolen from within one of the site offices, which was also damaged by the offender/s forcing entry. It is believed that the offender/s drove the backhoe through a gate in order to remove it from the site.

The backhoe is a yellow Ford 655D, which estimated value is approximately $40,000. The backhoe had CIT stickers affixed to it at the time it was stolen. There are no registration plates.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of the theft, or who have any information about the whereabouts of the stolen backhoe is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.

2. Of course they were driving a white Commodore:

The victim ran away to seek help from relatives nearby. The offenders have chased the victim and continued to assault him. Two of the male offenders have been described with having shaved heads.

Pepper spray won’t do much against 3 attackers and if it were legal, the bad guys would have it too.

I don’t think adding more weaponry is the answer.

Which was my point!
I may have misunderstood DBCooper’s point, but I thought he was suggesting if spray was legal, the victim could’ve defended himself. I was saying if it was legal, every crim would have some, as opposed to only some.

“Still, does anyone think these young chaps come from a nice, stable middle class family? I’d say it’s a very good chance these thugs have come from a fucked up family.”

Your kidding right?

Is there ever a good excuse for mugging strangers or attacking innocent people at random?

I’ve got 30cm more on these creeps, and the 1st thing I thought, was “I would love to roam the strets with a 50cm Maglite and see if they try and mug me”, then I thought, hey shouldnt the Police be doing undercover plain clothed patrols? After all, it seems like an increasing problem in certain areas.

I bet these pack of retarded cowards going around rolling people for no apparent reason think they’re very ‘gangsta’.

No doubt.

Pity the description given for the thugs sounds like 50% of the burn-out kids that hang around Woden.

I can’t wait to hear about these pricks finally ambushing the wrong guy. It makes me happy to just imagine the looks on their faces when meek looking easy target turns out to be tougher than Chuck Norris.

Sounds like these two guys are not very big (under 180cm, light build). I bet they only pick on weak/small guys. They would not have the balls to rob anyone who could fight back. Hopefully one of the victims will spot them at a shopping centre soon and call it in to the cops.
