ACT Policing has arrested a 29 year-old male after a short pursuit in Lyneham early this morning (Saturday 16 October).

Around 3.54am, police were conducting a patrol around Lyneham when they sighted a vehicle that had failed to stop earlier that morning. Police indicated for the driver to pull over and became involved in a pursuit after the driver failed to stop.

The pursuit took place in the area of Wattle Street and Dyson Street and ended when the vehicle mounted the gutter on Longstaff Street, Lyneham. The vehicle sustained minor damage to the front and rear tyres.

The pursuit lasted less than a minute and reached a maximum speed of 60km/h. No one was injured nor was any other property damaged as a result of the pursuit.

The driver was subjected to a roadside breath test where he returned a positive reading. He was taken to the City Police Station where he returned a breathalyser reading of 0.149 grams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

He was conveyed to the ACT Watch House and later given police bail. He will be summonsed to court at a later date.

He had previously been apprehended for drink-driving on 29 November 2008. On that occasion he recorded a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.093.

This story reminds me of that time George got chased by old people while pretending to be crippled in an electric wheel chair.

Man, they just keep getting dumber and dumber don’t they? I look forward to the day a Magistrate can legally declare that a male or female is simply far to dumb to breed and therefore is off the gene pool list.

As sharp as a bag full of hammers – I’d like to see a photo of these clowns when these things come up. I’ll just bet that they look as moronic as they act.
