1. Three alleged scrotes have been arrested over a Calwell burglary. Interestingly two of them are girls:

ACT Policing has arrested three juveniles after an alleged burglary at a residence in Calwell yesterday.

About 12.40pm, police responded to a call from a member of the public stating that suspicious persons were currently on premises at a residential address, Phillipson Crescent, Calwell.

Tuggeranong general duties patrol cars quickly attended the address and two female alleged offenders were arrested on sight. The alleged male offender fled the scene on foot but was arrested in a nearby street.

Police then seized property including a digital camera, computer USB drive and a small amount of cash, alleged to have been stolen from the residence.

The male and one of the female alleged offenders were charged with theft and intent to commit aggravated burglary and will face the ACT Children’s Court today. The second female alleged offender will be summonsed to face the ACT Children’s Court at a later date.

2. A stolen car is believed to have cleaned up a cyclist and scarpered in Lyons:

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an alleged hit and run collision in Heysen Street, Lyons yesterday (Tuesday, September 16).

About 5.30pm the female victim was riding her bicycle westbound along the gravel roadside when she was struck from behind by a vehicle believed to have been travelling in the same direction.

The vehicle failed to stop and fled the area at speed.

The victim was conveyed to the Canberra Hospital by ACT Ambulance officers where she received treatment for minor injuries and was later released.

Tuggeranong General Duties patrol members located a stolen white Ford Falcon sedan which police believe may have been involved in the incident.

The vehicle has been conveyed to ACT Policing’s Property Office, along with the victim’s bicycle for forensic analysis.

Anyone who can help the police with these matter should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online to www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.

Well, the girls couldn’t be Scrotes, they must be Toe Rags. And how delightful, they go to the children’s court. Will their “parents” be going to Parent Court?

As for robberies happening in one specific area, it’s not hard to work out why that might be. I am pleased the cops were able to be there and catch them at-it though. Conviction is guaranteed.

yeah, thats what i’m thinking 😀

Gosh Bubzie, how seriously sick will it be when they get really, really close and and do your place!!!!!!!!!:-)

wow, i am really loving the amount of robberies that are occuring a couple of streets away from me right about now..
(First it was the one in theodore, which is kinda close to my house, and now this one..which is like two streets away!)

I see what you did there…

Scrotes? New one for me! Johnboy, you may need to start a Riotact specific glossary for us newbies. Infact, that could make for an interesting lazy Sunday post…hmmm, let me cogitate on that one.

how could two girls be scrotes?

I always thought that a scrote was an abbreviated term based on the male genitalia….

2 girls would just balls that up…
