1. It takes a very average man to rob a hairdresser:

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at a hair salon in Braddon last night Wednesday, May 19, 2010.

About 7:15pm, a male entered the hair salon and threatened staff and customers with a firearm whilst demanding money. He left with a sum of cash.

The male offender is described as Caucasian, 20 to 30 years of age, about 175 to 180cm (5’9” to 5’11”) tall and with a medium build. He was wearing a light blue or purple hooded jumper, dark glasses and a scarf covering his nose and mouth.

The offender escaped on foot. He did not discharge the firearm or cause physical harm to anyone. Police are continuing enquiries into the identification of this male.

Police are urging anyone who may have been in the Braddon area at the time of the incident and may have noticed any suspicious persons, or may have seen the offender, to contact Crime Stoppers.

well that explains the large police presence when walking home last night.
