1. Big blue at the Serbian Club:

ACT Policing has arrested an 18-year-old man following the alleged assault of a police officer in Mawson last night (May 21).

About 11:45pm police were in the car park of the Serbian Club when they were approached by security and requested to assist with a fight that had broken out inside. Police entered and observed around ten males involved in an altercation. Police intervened, using Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) spray to separate them.

Following the altercation an 18-year-old man allegedly struck a police officer with his fist. The man was placed under arrest and taken to the ACT Watch House. The police officer sustained minor injuries.

The alleged offender was charged with cause harm to a Commonwealth public official and possess drug of dependence. He was released on bail from the ACT Watch House to appear before court at a later date.

What a %$@#ing genius!

He’s got a wrap of smack in his pocket and he decides it would be a great idea to go and get himself arrested.
