1. Skyfire brawling:

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault in Civic on Saturday night (March 21) that left one male unconscious and two other males with minor injuries.

About 9.30pm, a group of four 18-year-old men were returning from Skyfire to their vehicle, which was parked in the car park off London Circuit, between Constitution Avenue and Northbourne Avenue.

They were approached in the car park by a group of five other young people, who proceeded to assault one of the men, rendering him unconscious. Two of his friends attempted to intervene, and were also assaulted by members of the group, who then left the area on foot.

2. Tuggy iPhone mugging:

ACT Policing is investigating an aggravated robbery in Lyons on Saturday night (March 21) involving three male offenders.

The three men approached a 22-year-old Lyons man on a pedestrian path behind the Lyons Shops about 11.45pm, one man punching the victim several times in the face before he handed over his wallet and iPhone.

The three men had been seen in the car park of the Lyons shops, near the public telephone, a short time earlier.

One of the men is described as Causasian, approximately 18-23 years old, tall build with shaved dark hair and wearing a black hooded jumper and light coloured jeans.

A second man has been described as Caucasian, approximately 18-23 years old and wearing a light grey or white hooded jumper.

Squep? Boony? Chilli Blu? These go beyond merely bogan names (presumably Boony was named after David Boon).

Really johnboy…please fix the Lyons in Tuggeranong reference.

Squep?! Oh my god…

(thanks for the chuckles).

Skyfire can’t be considered a family event anymore. I went there with my daughter Squep and my sons Boony and Chilli Blu and we had to leave early because things were getting too ugly. How many other families were forced to do the same?

The people that steal these, aren’t all that bright in the first place …. !!!

Whats the point of stealing an iphone? you can’t even use them once they are canceled.

The iPhone dude should have got the Lightsaber App then he could have used the force to save himself.

Please don’t tell me that Tuggeranong is creeping north!

Is the tuggy in the hyperlink referring to Lyons beoing in Tuggeranong(sp?)?

Lyons is Woden area.

Stealing mobile phones in this day and age is pretty pointless anyway. When I lost mine OS, a quick call to my carrier rendered the SIM and IMEI useless, Including the logon password and block on any sim bar my own being used in it, it essentially made the phone a highly prized inanimate carbon block.
