About 10pm the male victim was walking along Launceston Street, Lyons when a brown older model vehicle pulled up beside him. One male remained in the vehicle while three others got out and surrounded the victim.

I think they’re all shoplifting grog and chips for the state of origin.

Hmmm 2-1 to Belconnen today. Come on Tuggeranong, let a few of your ferals loose so they can at least even the score.

They’ve been doing the “how Belco are you” quiz and realised that they needed to represent.

they haven’t done anything wrong, or made an ID, have they?

Witnesses who feel directly threatened or feel they’re exposed enough to be potentially threatened have this wierd tendency to increase their chances of survival by not actually telling the entirety of their recollection of events.
(Considering you have 24 other people ‘standing around’ either witnessing or taking part in events, how many of those people are with the victim, how many against, and how many of those would like to protect their friend?)

Also, naming people who might not actually have witnessed the actual stabbing but get named as ‘witnesses’ (increasing chances of reprisals against them) probably makes other people who have seen something less likely to come forward.

Not really responsible behaviour, nor supportive of the efforts of Johnny Law Enforcement.

bad form by the CT, but why would the witnesses need kevlar vests? they haven’t done anything wrong, or made an ID, have they?
