ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a serious assault on a 20-year-old man which occurred in Wanniassa early on Sunday morning (May 30).
It is believed the assault occurred between 1am and 2.30am in the vicinity of the Erindale McDonalds car park where two males were attacked by a group of unknown male offenders.
During the incident, four offenders have exited a small white vehicle and assaulted the two male victims as they walked through the area.
The 20-year-old victim sustained a number of head and facial injuries during the attack while a 27-year-old male received minor bruising.
Two of the male offenders have been described with having shaved heads.
Police are also seeking witnesses regarding the investigation of two further incidents which occurred during the evening hours of Sunday (May 30).
About 9:40pm, a 23-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by three males in Cowdery Place, Monash. The victim had his wallet stolen from him and suffered multiple head and facial injuries during the incident.
One of the male offenders in this incident is described as being about 5’10” (178cm) tall, with a medium build and olive skin. The male was wearing a white t-shirt and had short dark hair. Another one of the offenders is described as being about 5’8″ (173cm) tall, with a medium build and short dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper. No description is available in regards to the third male offender.
About 11:45pm, an 18-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by three males in an underpass near Summerland Circuit and Mannheim Street, Kambah. The victim had some jewellery and an mp3 player stolen from him and he suffered facial injuries as a result of the incident.
One of the male offenders in this incident is described as being Caucasian, about 5’9″ (175cm) tall, with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark short-sleeved shirt and dark jeans. One of the other offenders is described as Caucasian, about 5’9″ (175cm) tall and was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the above incidents or who has any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Police remind the community that they may remain anonymous when providing information to police.
