1. Calwell Fail:

ACT Policing has arrested a 23-year-old Calwell man after he was allegedly caught driving with a high Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) last night (August 5) on two separate occasions.

About 11.20pm on Thursday 5 August Police stopped the man on Canberra Avenue, Fyshwick. The man was subjected to a roadside screening test which returned a positive reading and was taken to Woden Police Station. The man was found to be driving with a BAC of 0.144. The man was released into the care of his friend to be summonsed at a later date.

About 12.20am on Friday 6 August, Police stopped the same vehicle, a silver Ford Focus, on Canberra Avenue in Harman. The same man was behind the wheel and was stopped for a random breath test. The man’s initial test was allegedly above the legal limit and he was taken to City Police Station where he recorded a BAC of 0.118 grams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

When asked by Police why he was driving he said ‘I don’t trust anyone else with my car’.

The man was placed under arrest, transported to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with two counts of Drive motor vehicle with alcohol in blood. He will face court today, 6 August 2010.

He’ll get away with it. At most a fine. Like that stops any of these idiots anyway.

‘I don’t trust anyone else with my car’.

We don’t trust doochebags like you driving responsibly on our roads.

You can keep your car but not your driver’s license.
