- ACT Policing is seeking to identify and interview a woman who is believed to have witnessed an assault on a male member of the security staff in the rear car park of the Wanniassa Supa Barn supermarket on Monday, January 5.
Police attended the premises where it was reported that around 8.20pm on January 5, the security guard sought to stop and question two women in relation to an alleged shoplifting incident.
The security officer chased on foot and apprehended one of the alleged offenders in the car park by holding her arm. The second female offender then sought to free the other by throwing a brick at the security officer and lunging at him with a knife.
The officer eventually released one of the alleged offenders. Both offenders then left in a red-coloured Ford coupe.
One of the female offenders is described as between 16-19 years old, between 165 – 170 cm tall (5’5” – 5’7”), with dark hair, a skinny build, pale white skin, and wearing a white dress top with white pants and blue thongs.
The second female offender is described as between 18-20 years old, between 165cm to 170cm tall (5’5” – 5’7”), with dark shoulder-length hair, a solid build, white skin, saggy cheeks and red blotches on her face. She was wearing a blue singlet top, brown shorts and black thongs with Roman-style straps.
I’m sure the second female offender is thrilled by that description.
