Pratt compares Canberra to Damascus

Off the top of my head I can’t think of any two cities less alike than Canberra and Damascus.

And yet the Canberra Liberal’s very own Steve Pratt is trying to scare us claiming “The bombing of the USA Embassy in Damascus the day after the 5th 9/11 anniversary commemoration was a stark reminder to the Stanhope Government that they must also be better prepared for any potential terrorist attack”.

Is there any piece of unpleasantness anywhere in the world that Steve won’t try to use in his quest for a police state?

Cheers. It’s about time I learnt to read too! I’d be interested to know how much other LA folk use the term.

not your comment. His. he is a pratt.

“making comments like that doesn’t help his cause either “

I bet he’s heartbroken. I heard the comment from someone involved in inner workings the LA. Pure gold if you ask me!

sorry, no offense intended 🙂

So Pratt is proving yet again he has a real clue.
I guess he beleives that locking people up without letting them know why or able to get any legal advice is a good thing, it obviously worked for him.

Hey maybe you can join forces… you could call yourself Evil Shab or Mr Mr

I’m not sure which one of us is more offended 😉

der.. I meant Mr Evil, not Shab….

Not an entirely bad thing there Shab…

Pratt is just trying to adopt a world phenomenon :- ‘Think global, act local’

Canberra is totally safe because any terrorist who tries to catch a Cab here will be totally stuffed. They’ll call and ask to be taken to the US Embassy, but the automated system will ask them over and over if they mean the Qbn Leagues Club.

it is an unfortunate name to take into politics… making comments like that doesn’t help his cause either

Pratt by name, pratt by nature…

That is possibly lamest piece of scare mongering I have ever heard.
