Pratt highlights broad and virtual terrorism plans

In general I find the terrorism arguments in the ACT to be at best risible. But if we’re going to play make believe then I’d like to do it convincingly. So I did find Steve Pratt’s latest media release somewhat amusing.

Apparently the Chief Minister, on being questioned in the Assembly about the non-existence of ACT Terrorism plans said:

the ACT had ‘broad emergency management plans’ and that they were ‘virtually completed’.

“Broad”, “Virtual” plans eh? We’ll be glad of those when the brown stuff hits the ventilation device.

I’ve never heard of anything so curious before…

Stranger things have happened I suppose…

Steve Pratt was lucky to have escaped the Waniassa shop Liberal promotion last election. Nazi git that he is …

Thumper, you don’t remember a certain chief of staff’s eyes light up when I mentioned could we play with some of that gucci green stuff with yellow writing on it that came out during the embassy scare ?

And the subsequent announcement that the heirachy were going to get to have a play with same said equipment later this year ?

In the trade, we used to say OFD or OFT, the first two letters being for ‘officer fascination’, the remainder being ‘device’ or ‘tool’.

That’s exactly what the substance of the ACT’s security planning to date has managed to muster, sorry to burst the bubble K.

I suggest you take along a wankwords bingo sheet to make it a little more interesting.

Stanhope’s holding a press conference this afternoon “to detail the ACT’s security planning”, presumably to answer Pratt’s accusations. I might go along depending on how the afternoon pans out.
K

He might want to look at Hargraves’ office since he’s busy telling the ESA that there is a terrorist threat to the kiddies at the same time.

In my reasoning, you have to have a terrorism plan of substantial context to be able to say such informational statements, and draw such logical conclusions that daycare centres in ESA buildings are at threat from terrorism.
