Could anyone who knows of any planned protests (peaceful) during the torch relay pls post what they know? It’s less than four weeks away, and it’s a great opportunity to highlight human rights abuses in China (and Tibet).
Remember the cowed Australian authorities during Hu’s visit, letting the Chinese Secret Service run the Parliament House visitor’s gallery for the day?
Let’s not let it happen this time around.

Stanhope and Rudd are champions for human rights except when it comes to China.

I’ll come and protest too. When is Chinese Democracy gonna see the light of day? Stupid Axl Rose.

The Olympics is all about greed, one-up-manship and seeing who can create the best undetecable steriod.

Meh. It is the olympics, one of the very rare times that for a couple of weeks, once every four years the issues that dominate global politics is put on the back burner so Bruce Mcevaney can compare kick and giggle to synchrnosied swimming.

I think people need to pull their heads in and give it a rest. After all, the Olympics is about sharing the joy that the whole world is particiapting in one of the very few things that each country acually tries to particiapte in, than say genocide or clubbing seals.

I need to get me a bottle of this Olympic Spirit, it seems to be very intoxicating.
I don’t know if KRudd would allow it though given his conversion to the temperance league , militant anti-drinking Bible-belt nonsense.

Are you serious paddytrick?

If there was a Tibetan Embassy I’d go protest outside it for ruining the spirit of the Olypmic Games. But they don’t have one because they’re part of China.

Smokey, we could supplement that by lining up and shooting all the motorists who think that motorcyclists don’t belong on the road. How’s that grab you?

Mr Evil we would not need Chinese bodyparts if we just banned motorcycle helmuts and harvested a fresh supply of nice young Aussie bodies.

If China cared about human rights then what would happen with their lovely little human organ recycling industry that has kept more than a few people alive with new livers, kidneys, hearts and other organs?

I’ll be sure to pass on whatever information I receive.

Jokes aside, China sucks ass when it comes to human rights.

I’m going to protest by sitting on my fat can and doing absolutely nothing.

The Australia-Tibet Council will be running a demonstration. Im not sure of the particulars, but their website is: http://www.atc.org.au/
Im sure they will put up information soon.
