Well, somebody has done just that, at some nondescript patch of dirt on Canberra Avenue in Griffith for a cool $7.6 million, according to ABC online: Griffith carpark sells for $7.6mil

It’s zoned commerical and residential (that would be ‘mixed use’), so I guess we’ll see some more high rise apartments in the next few years. I wonder who is gonoing to lose their parking space out of this.

This is the Bisa Brothers – the units will be packed in like sardines – the car parks will be two levels underground, and a monster building on top.

There goes my cook-your-own steaks at the Kingo, as there’ll be no parking anymore.

And why wouldn’t you maximise your investment? If I had the horspower to take on a project of this size I’d do the same.

Part of the sale conditions is that they make 60 car spaces available. There will still be a time gap between when they start work on whatever to having car spots available. Thankfully there is height restrictions for the site as well so it wont be too high.

this will seriously impact AFL matches at manuka oval.

for those that haven’t figured it out, this is the dirt carpark across from the Kingston pub
