Youtuber Saltybrutus has a unique form of art appreciation around Canberra. Above is his take on City Walk which came with this note:

found these cute chubby russian doll type of statues @ garema place – civic – act – with my mate dazza & husbear digit

Deserving of wider attention, if not a wider audience.

– i love this website – i am a locally born Canberran – back in the days on the maternity ward of the Canberra hospital in fact – and I love the forum for people to discuss the issues and topics about Canberra and it’s surrounds, it’s people, environment & culture – and especially the arts. Thanks Deref for your comments – and I certainly don’t mean to take away any value & meaningful or pleasure derived from public art – however, as a gay bear – I could not help but react the way I did with my bear friend & Husbear – to muck around – to delight in what the artwork had illicit in me – I loved it – and wish more artwork was this accessible – great job in riotACT – and thank you all to the comments 🙂 – ps – see the link below regarding bear culture if you are not familiar:

😀 Public art should be open to appreciation (or denigration) in any way that the public wants.

Well done, Saltybrutus.

Pee pee? We prefer ‘front bottom’ at our house.

Nice work at perpetuating stereotypes

Wow, small things amuse small mind..
