ACT Policing arrested an 18-year-old Bonython man after suspecting he was in possession of stolen property at the Tuggeranong Hyperdome this afternoon (Thursday, November 1).
Around 12.15pm members of ACT Policing’s Crime Targeting Team attempted to arrest the man on Anketell Street before he pulled away and ran into the Tuggeranong Hyperdome.
Police pursued the man on foot and apprehended him with the assistance of several members of the public.
Detectives would like to ask members of the public who assisted in the apprehension of the man, or who witnessed the foot chase and are yet to speak to police to contact ACT Policing on 131 444.
The man was conveyed to the ACT Watch House and charged with one count of burglary, one count of theft, one count of escaping lawful custody and breach of bail. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow where bail will be opposed.
