Sorry Buggles, was meant to write Gungahlin Al. Forgot to double check my post….

Thanks for the support

PWACanberra, don’t think it’s me that said your shows ‘aren’t really’ wrestling.

If you read back to my first post, I’ve actually been to a number of shows and recommended the shows an affordable fun night out.

Maybe you should extend your invitation to Gungahlin Al, not me.

Well you can’t make everyone a fan of pro wrestling no matter how hard you try. The only way you can give this type of “sports entertainment” any credit is to attend the show. A number of the PWA wrestlers have trained overseas in Canada and the United States and work very hard at what they do.

Buggles we at PWA would be more then happy to give you a free WRESTLING training session at our Wrestling Academy. This would give you a small taste of just how challenging Pro Wrestling is. I mean if it’s “not really” wrestling then you would be fine.

The link below is a short edit of one of the shows from last year.

Hope to see you at the show.

Indeed Danman! And having failed at belly flops, I’ll have to pass on Buggles’ invitation…Particularly if “Show us your wares” were to involve the Tony Abbott-style budgie smuggle duds those guys usually wear!

The outcome may be predetermined, the slaps chops and kicks may be fake, aka “the sell”, but you tell me that there is no skill in essentially doing a belly flop off top rope and not hurting yourself too much ??

The skill and atheleticism (sp) alone is commendable.. Not really my thing but it is commendable.

Oddly Al maybe you could step in the ring and show us your wares.

Crofty who I mentioned in my early post actually goes by the ring name of ‘Crofty the Kambah Klepto’, so maybe a North vs South main event could be on the cards…

In the right corner from ‘Gungahlin’ the ‘Amazing Gungahlin Al’….in the left corner from ‘Kambah’, ‘Crofty the Kambah Klepto’..

I think the word “wrestling” should be in quotes too. As in “not really”.
Drama? Surely that could only happen if someone messed up and forgot the script?
😛

Have been to several of the PWA Canberra (formerly CPW Canberra) shows over the past four or five years from the Turner PCYC, Lyneham Netball Centre and to Woden Tradies, and have never been disappointed.

Some great locals such as Crofty, Jak Arkham and Luke Watts, plus a host of interstate wrestlers have always put on a great show.

Can highly recommend it for an afforable fun night out.
