CT reports that Queanbeyan’s @QBN is being investigated for breaching its community radio license conditions.

It claims complaints have been made that they have “rejected a number of membership applications, denied access and equity to community members, discriminated against members of the community it served, engaged in inadequate management practices, did not have guidelines in place regarding the principles of volunteering…”

I beg to differ. There are quite a few of us out there to listen to it. It has a great variety of content and the announcers are real people who are keen and interested in their local community. OK, the quality isn’t always wonderful, but we have to remember that it is manned by volunteers whose enthusiasm for their community and music overcomes some of the lapses.

They must be on holidays at CT then, because this story is half a week old.
