Buddy opened tonight – did anyone catch it? I tried to book last year but it was completely sold out way in advance. I don’t want to miss it this time.

Incidentally, mu link will indicate my bias, but I gather this band is extremely good as well.

Wasn’t it called Arts Cafe. The guy who worked there/managed it was surely very ‘homogenised’!

I think the old venue (remind me of the name, please) would have been good. Just a little joint on the street, perhaps with a bar.

A lot of things these days seem to be a little too homogenised.

I reckon it’s excellent.

BTW, what does the Playhouse hold? 500-600?

It does seem to be pretty good, from what I gather.

Monaro St used to have that little venue (I can’t remember the name of it) for performances and the like before, though I was too young to care, at the time.

We can poke fun at Queanbeyan but they now have the best theatre in Canberra and region.

Buddy opens their this weekend and the Baby Boomers the Musical is staging their as well.

Why do they need 350 seats?
The cultural highwater mark of booner performance art is a 5.0L Holden Commodore V8.
