CityNews have online coverage of the upcoming “Tough Love” budget now that the Chief Minister has discovered that the good times he walked into won’t always be around.

Rather than further depress the economy with fees and charges, why not cease payment of all the “consultative councils”? After all, we’re already paying (and paying) the Assembly to represent us.

Very few of those councils are paid anyway – won’t save much!

No problems johnboy, just thought you may want to know (DS stuff)

Well, its no surprise given the endless buckets of money that get immersed in planning for so particular reason. For God’s sake, we seem to have a plan for everything!

should be OK now.

You get what you paid for: stupid, crappy majority Labour government. Wake me up in 3 years time when I might give a damn.

Hey Johnboy, this is an aside from the topic, but I note you posted this at “7.54pm”. By my clock, that time hasn’t arrived yet – just checking that RiotACT hasn’t defaulted to daylight savings times. (and how I wish it were still daylight saving…)

Special mention to Peter Clack for using the phrase “he also” four times in the one short story.
