So the question now is when and against whom will the Raiders win a match?

The ABC inform us that the Eels have won 18-16 tonight.

The Raiders will never win the 2009 premiership at this rate. Get Sam Williams in a Delorean, pronto!

The game was hideous, it had nothing to do with the referee, an under 13 team could have performed better. I am a long time Raiders supporter (20 or more years). I refuse to pay money anymore to go and watch a team who is not even trying. Stop making excuses, bring up the youngsters in the team below and maybe some of the players standing out on the field doing nothing will soon learn. Sam Williams needs to be on the team along with many youngsters that are performing so well. .

Ah the blame the refs story for losing appears again.

Did you watch the game?

Usually I don’t hold much store in the whole blame the ref (as per last week – the Raiders were just terrible), but after watching some of the game on TV, I have to say that some of those calls were pretty shocking :o(

Apart from that, I reckon the Raiders are continuing to improve and will soon be back to the good ol’ days of many a thrashing.

Ah the blame the refs story for losing appears again..

When and against whom the raiders will win? My guess is that they’re not likely to win many games at all, and only at home against teams who don’t like the cold. Most of the other teams in the competition have improved, the Raiders have gone nowhere or even backwards after losing players.

Furner’s Faders make a comeback – first the father, now the son.

Damn right about the penalties. David Milne’s sin-binning was disgraceful and Thurling’s penalty for being offside when tackling his marked man was also given for the benefit of the Parra crowd.

I think there was a big improvement in the Raiders’ game though. If they keep playing like that, they will win games.

Let’s hope we can really stick it to Neil Henry’s Cowboys next Monday night….

No question of that, but the Raiders themselves were LAZY in defence.

Its the second game out of three where the Raiders have been on the end of dubious refereeing decisions. Against the Tigers Tuiakis try should have been referred, and last night Kelly was running into an open line when the ref pulled up play to award a penalty instead of giving an advantage and almost certain try.

But when you are down on luck and confidence, refs calls never seem to go your way.
