In what is more than likely the upset of the round, the Canberra Raiders have downed the Penrith Panthers tonight 34-18 in their first away win for the season. The Matt Elliott trained Panthers made 22 errors and completed only 20 of 40 sets in what the coach described as their “worst performance all season”. The Raiders overcame the loss of key players like Todd Carney, and Michael Dobson who was in doubt to even start the game starred in the Raiders win.

Hopefully the Raiders will carry their form into next Sundays game against the Manly Sea Eagles who suffered their first loss of the season tonight at the hands of the Cowboys 30-26. Kick off is at 2pm next Sunday the 6th.

Very unexpected win also considering we didn’t have our full team on the field.

I see Todd Carney was MIA again.
