Does anyone know of any primary schools or preschools holding special activities on Friday to support the RAIDERS ahead of their semi-final clash?

I know Waniassa High is asking students to wear green for a gold donation and the money will be donated to SIDS.

Any other schools??

Well I should hope not! It’s not up to public schools to do a private company’s advertising for them or to build brand awareness through special festivals.

Roll on the day when people who actually contribute something useful to society are held up as role models for kids instead of overpaid boofheads who can hardly string two words together and spend most of their time before the courts for assault.

Want me to keep going or are you happy to generalise, or ‘boganise’ as I call it?

Kids at school having fun, obviously beyond some of the miserable, and hopefully childless, comments above

And what do you contribute to society, other than a few angry posts on RiotACT? I’d love to hear about your own “useful” contributions which permit you to be so self-righteous.

I’ll tell you what I’m *not* doing: I’m not asking the government to give me money to support my business or “for public schools to do a private company’s advertising for them or to build brand awareness through special festivals”, as BimboGeek so accurately said.

And “self-righteous”? Suggesting that people who actually do something useful would be better role models for kids? Suggesting that businesses should succeed or fail on the basis of their ability to sell their product without taxpayer support?

This is a definition of “self-righteous” with which I’m wholly unfamiliar.

Also, can you actually name one Raiders players who is taking the field tomorrow night who’s spent any time “before the courts for assault”? No, that’s because none of them has.

Sheesh! “BimboGeek”

I think the name says it all.

I guess you’re not one of the 27,000+ people in Canberra who are excited and proud of the local team. I really hope you’re not involved in the running of any public school… it would be a very boring place with YOU there!

This has to be up there for the most negative, pathetic, immature comment EVER on RiotAct. No wonder Canberra is viewed by the rest of the country (quite rightly at times) to be a sad miserable place to live!

BimboGeek its not about a private company its about a canberra Rugby league team the one and only nrl team in this town(city) its about community spirit, You would be surprised how much can be gained from a little community spirit.I would imagine that if we get into the grand final you will be hugly disappointed by how many schools etc will be behind the green machine brand awareness everywhere.
