Raiders flogged by the Storm

NRL.com reports on the end of the Raiders’ winning streak going down 36-12 in Melbourne to the disgraced cheats of the Melbourne Storm.

Melbourne put a major dent in Canberra’s NRL finals ambitions with an emphatic 36-12 win at AAMI Park on Sunday to end their recent run of wins.

The Storm continued the Raiders’ misery in the Victorian capital, where they haven’t won since 2000, and the loss left them floundering outside the top eight.

Greg Inglis again proved the danger-man for the Raiders, crossing for a second half try to boost his tally to 10 tries from his past seven meetings with the Canberra side.

Four points adrift the 8 in 11th place is anyone still holding hopes for the finals?

What happened to supporting your team through good times and bad times?

We live in Canberra. As soon as anything is no longer popular or successful, people give up on it and start following whatever is popular or successful.

What are these “good times” you speak of? Raiders haven’t provided their fans with much like good times for 15 years.

As a Sharks fan, I had a great time watching my team beaten by the Raiders last weekend. There was no dick head heckling, and all of the Raiders fans around managed to have a good chuckle at my outspoken inability to watch the Sharks lose.

“Im only happy when we win…”

Felix, I thought this was the good times….

There seems to be quite a number of “fair weather” Raiders fans. I was down at the local club having some lunch and the game was on the tv and most of the so called fans got up and left before the match was half over, presumably because the Raiders were losing. What happened to supporting your team through good times and bad times?
