The Herald Sun brings word that our brave lads in Green have fallen to defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Apparently a great match to watch though.

Campese lacked spark and he didn’t seem to be fully fit. I know his foot injury from last week was still bothering him because Josh Dugan took over the goal kicking duties. ABC radio said he woke up with a virus on the morning of the game. Not taking anything away from the Bulldogs though, Ennis was outstanding, Kimmorley was directing them around the park and Hazem was El Magic.

I was camping down the coast Fri and Sat and one of the people we were camping with had a bulldogs chair, which accidentally caught fire from the campfire, it was an omen that the Bulldogs would be on fire and win….yeeeehaaaarrrrr!

It was a good game, shame the Raiders couldn’t hold their form…

Interesting weather too, almost 4 seasons in 2-3 hours. Shame about the poor person who had a tree go through his front windscreen in the carpark.

It was a good game, despite the result. The Raiders played well overall, but were undone by a couple of errors at critical times.

That’s to take nothing away from the Bulldogs, who are a good side who will go far this year – I reckon they are a finals certainty. Watching the game, it was difficult to fathom why Brett Kimmorley hasn’t been selected in the NSW Origin training squad – he has been good all season and was directing the team around well. Despite being a grub, Michael Ennis is also playing very well.

Alan Tongue’s try deserves a mention – it was terrific, he carried about four Bulldogs over the line with him.

Awesome match.

Pity the Raiders had trouble keeping it together.

Otherwise I would say we have two in the NSW Origin side (Monaghan and Campese)

If the selectors have any wits about them, Tongue would have to be off the bench as an impact player, he is well suited for it as was Solomona in his day for the Roosters,
