Foxsports is covering the Canberra Raiders 18-16 win over the fast finishing Brisbane Broncos to squeak into the finals after six weeks of sudden death football.

Now what shops sell lime green?

It was a great game, I enjoyed watching it and well done to the Raiders. Would’ve been great to watch at the pub, wish I’d checked my Facebook.

I remember years ago working for The Pie Palate in Canberra House and Penrith and Canberra were in the grand final and we sold green and blue neenish tarts specially and by default the standard tarts were brown and white (old Panthers colours). I’d love lime milk available if they make it to the gf this year. C’mon Canberra Milk!

Oh, it brings back bad memories of green bread somehow though..

Go the RAIDERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Kicking game and handling were a bit scratchy, but they defended well. You’d think Manly will beat the Bulldogs, leaving the Raiders in 8th, to play the Dragons next week.

Well, how wrong was I?

Panthers v Raiders should be a good game.

It’s entirely fair. There has to be some advantage to finishing the home-and-away season first (and a disadvantage to scraping in 8th).

Bit of a bodgy system that, the number one team playing number 8. Surely someone can come up with something a bit fairer?

Can the Dragons keep up their record of choking in the Finals? Please? 🙂

Magnificent effort.

Go the Green Machine!

Well done boys. The Broncos are a quality side and put up a hell of a fight, and (as predicted) the refs gave them a nice 7-2 penalty count to help them on their way. However, our defence in the second half was outstanding and I admired our grit in front of a huge and parochial crowd at Lang Park.

Enjoy the week off boys, look forward to seeing your game next weekend.
