The Australian reports on how the Raiders came within an ace of losing to the Titans at home after leading 28-6 at halftime.

And it’s not as if the weather was being kind to visitors from Queensland yesterday.

UPDATE: Also of note from the game, Justin Carney broke his leg, something fmxfan11 was kind enough to capture on YouTube:

Here’s a little reminder for you, then.

Also, when was the last time your boys won a premiership? That’s right, it was 1979.

Willo, you’re probably just bitter from the last two times the Raiders have played the Dragons, when the Raiders cleaned up 21-14 (Round 3 2008) and 19-12 (Round 18, 2008). Your “team of clowns” suffered a pretty big “fade” on both occasions IIRC.

Well done to the boys. Beating two top-four teams on consecutive weekends is a great effort. I agree that the second-half lapse wasn’t good yesterday, but considering Justin Carney’s injury, the fact that they were only working with three interchange players afterwards, and the lopsided 4-0 penalty count in the second half, it was great that they held on for the win.

JB, having footage of the Carney leg-break on here is in very poor taste IMO. Was that a highlight of the game, from your perspective?

I was told that the spot on the field where Carney met his fate, is pretty much near on the spot where Ricky Stuart broke his ankle all those years ago….Anyone now know the truth in that?

The Raiders played an incredible first half, taking advantage of a lacklustre Titan line.
I’m glad they held on in the second half…knocks the Titans away from the top 2..

maybe not,
but at least we’re well away from the spoon now. Glass half full Willo.

hahahahaha….believe that if you will boys….oh and dont forget to hang on to the slim hope that this team of clowns will actually make the finals…….

pfft….look at the second half of yesterday’s game……that is how the “faiders” get results like the cronulla game…they won yesterday but truly deserved to lose…..

If the god damn referees didn’t piggyback the Titans in the second half they wouldn’t have even been close. Just because a team is losing by heaps doesn’t mean you have to give them sympathy penalties. Raiders got zero penalties in the second half.

If you’re going to look at the second half of the game and bag them out, why not look at the first half of the game too? We didn’t deserve to lose at all.

Titans also had quite a few players out.

Melbourne then the Titans
great run, if you can knock over these kind of teams back to back you are at least a top 8 team. Good on them, hope the good form continues

just curious as to how the **** did we lose to the Sharks ~4 weeks ago when we get results like this!!
