Raiders Injuries

As the Raiders contemplate their injury woes from last season, one hopes that the first casualty (tee hee) this year will be the sign in their weights room which says something to the effect of “Pain is weakness leaving the body” .

Anyone who understands sports injuries knows pain is the first warning sign. If you work through that pain… durr! See the 2004 injury list.

It also doesn’t send a good message to kids wanting to become our sporting stars of the future.

Someone at the Green Machine needs to wake up, and join the 21st century

vg I like you buddy – that is exactly what I was thinking. The point where the discomfort sets in is where the gains begin. And as you say, these guys can tell the difference between good pain and bad pain.

The sign is a bit of a cliche I admit but simple stuff like that in a gym enviroment does get you going.

What a stupid post. They are talking about the pain involved in exertion through training, in this example lifting weights. You don’t make yourself stronger or faster by lifting pieces of paper. It’s done through heavy exertion lifting heavy weights. Anybody who’s competed at an elite level will tell you that.

They aren’t talking about injury pain Einstein, and we aren’t talking about chess players.

What abject piffle. Go to a gym and lift some weights

I gave up on the raiders many years ago
