I don’t know if this is good news or not, but the Sydney Morning Herald seems to think so.
Canberra have secured an NRL recruitment coup by signing Sydney Roosters prop David Shillington to a four-year deal starting next season. Shillington, 24, was a priority signing for the Raiders following the departure of Michael Weyman next season to St George Illawarra.
The Raiders stood by Weyman injury after injury. Then, to add insult to ‘injury’ when he does play he cops a 7 week suspension for an act of sheer stupidity (when shouldn’t surprise since he is a RL player from the South Coast).
I hope he breaks his leg.
Shillington is an average 1st grade prop, hence the lack of interest shown by the Rooters (no spelling mistake) in retaining him. If the Raiders continue to buy average players their performances will continue to be average.
That being said I will be there on Monday to watch a win over the Bunnies. If they don’t win its season over for them
Never heard of him!
