The Brisbane Times is in mourning after Canberra, on a lovely sunny afternoon in Bruce, smashed the Broncos 10 tries to zip, 56-0.

A much needed bright spot for the green-eyed!

Did the Broncos turn up for the game ?

The Raiders are messing with my footy tipping also.

Christ almighty these guys are breaking my heart in the tipping comp. I pick them they lose, I don’t they win. No one else in the comp picked them last night anyway so it left me feeling pretty good about the win and regretting what could have been for them this year

+1

The Raiders played with some spunk and really threw the ball around – a change from the last game we went to here. But the Broncos had “season over” written all over their faces from the moment the came out onto the field. And those faces only got longer after half time. 5 minutes into the second half was enough for us. We had to leave.

I think Karmichael Hunt earned player of the match – he was clearly the best player the Raiders had out there, and seems to have left for AFL already.

Embarrassed Queenslanders who have had enough of their woeful performances ever since Origin 2 can join the “Broncos are a joke” Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=114088897062&ref=mf

Canberra were good, but Broncos were woeful. It was the biggest loss in their history and it was well deserved, given the effort they put in.

Already they’re talking about how bad the BB’s were which is true but the Raiders really learnt from last week.

The Raiders MADE the Broncos look bad. We need to give credit where it is due and the truth is that there was not a single Raiders player who had a bad game. I think the team made only one handling error all game.

It was a bit surprising to see Campo get man of the match, as there were a few others who really stood up – Jarrod Croker in particular was excellent.

Great atmosphere at the ground BTW – one of the best of any Raiders game I’ve been to. Also a good, mainly pro-Raiders turn-out.

Forgot to mention Joel Monaghan! He had a solid game too. The whole team pulled out an incredible performance to show that our sky isn’t falling like we all thought it was 3 days ago.

We played very well, brisbane played very badly. Result: Pure awesome.

McCrone deserves recognition as a viable alternative to Herbert. Croker was excellent, Harrison (arguably should have MotM), Campo, Graham, Vidot, they all played very well. And Doogs was 100% class as always. Great stuff Raiders!

Just got home from the game. Wet and miserable one week, estatic the next. Already they’re talking about how bad the BB’s were which is true but the Raiders really learnt from last week.
Some wag had a sign up something like “no tough Hunts play Gayfl” heh heh
