League Unlimited informs us that the Raiders have been humiliated 26-0 in Sydney tonight.

“It was all one way traffic with Sharks centre Ben Pomeroy bagging a hattrick in the first half and with an 18-0 lead at the break, the Raiders had no chance of coming back and their second half performance only enhanced the reasons why the Raiders are wooden spoon favourites, with inexcusable mistakes.

Weyman is out for 8-10 weeks with an injury to the other ankle.

He seems to be made of glass, and not the toughened type.

The issue I have with the League Unlimited snippet above is that the Raiders performance in the second half was better than in the first, not worse as they indicated. This is reflected in the second half scoreline.

I’m not a big Raiders fan but it pisses me off that everyone wants to dismiss them and call them the wooden spoon favourites!!

Yeah they are playing terriible away from home and have only managed to win on a Monday night.. but they still have 2 wins under their belt. The Roosters are winless, the Broncos’, Tigers and Dragons have all only won 1 game so far. So what does this mean that the Raiders will continue their losing streak and by some miracle these other teams will start winning, but not the Raiders??

They shocked everyone by making the top 8 last year – I hope they can do it again, along side the mighty Bunnies who shocked everyone with their 3 straight wins. Give the underdogs a chance once in awhile – Dont presume the same teams are going to keep winning, just coz of their solid past performances

And i would love to see the Roosters or Bronco’s win the wooden spoon just to shut up all these supposed experts.
