Hey there folks. If you’re up for a laid back summer’s eve with a cool drink & some of Canberra’s finest acoustic singer songwriters you should head down to Das Kapital, Narrabundah Shops each tuesday night.

Tonight will feature Randall-Blair & Jordan Best for your evening’s entertainment. There will be no cover charge so take a punt!

Jordan Best is one of Canberra’s artistic dynamos. A founding director/actor of Centerpiece Theatre Company, Jordan still finds the time to write & perform in a solo acoustic mode. Her beautifully fragile & witty songs were recently featured in the feature length Australian film ‘A Man’s Gotta Do’.

Don’t miss it. Tonight only.
Das Kapital. Narrabundah Shops. 8:30pm. Free.

What a load of rubbish chris… who gives a fuck about someone promoting their music and whether they use their proper name..

Wow…uncovering a shameless marketing ploy! You sure you don’t want to join the 60 minutes team, Chris? Maybe you can uncover the secret shonky power tool deals that Blair’s guitarrist Gregor does with his other band…

I thought it was fairly clear who was doing the posting; anyone with half a brain should have been able to put two and two together.

I just didn’t understand why you seemed to be taking offence at this particular bit of self promotion when there’s plenty of others who do it too — and often they’re a lot less clear about who’s posting (eg this post earlier today, in which the casual reader who hadn’t followed earlier comments by Marcus on another post wouldn’t know he was in Dance with Amps).

Besides, it’s Randall’s prerogative, just as it is yours, mine and everybody else’s here, to post under a pseudonym. This is the internet after all.

It was a gig promo Chris, i’m sorry if you were too stupid to understand that but it was clear as day to the rest of the world.

Incidentally it was a fun night and the drinks were reasonably priced.

Sorry if I’ve trodden on your tippy toes, kerces, but signing as ‘r.blair’ not Randall Blair put it IMHO in the same category as journalists who quote ‘sources close to’ when they mean the last cab driver they spoke to.

Why does it matter Chris? He’s mainly plugging Ms Best in his spiel up top and besides, plenty of bands (and theatre outfits) advertise their own gigs here. Why’s this one exceptional?

missed it. Further triumphs in marketing may include notifying events before the day they happen. ah well, Cant afford to drink at DasKapitaal anyway.

If ‘r.blair’ is Randall-Blair this is a triumph of marketing – give the man a beer for sheer chutzpah, Christine. (If Christine is still the journo-proprietor of Das Kapital and the lovely wife of ACTEW-AGL – commentator for The Oz Michael Costello)
