Maurizio Rao has been released on bail after surveillance footage offered the possibility he was defending himself outside the Cube.

Justice Malcolm Gray said: “A viewing of the material … does provide some evidentiary foundation for a defence of self defence, while not saying that that necessarily has to be the accused’s case.”

Read above – perhaps emotional involvement would have been a better word.

What’s your personal involvement?

Although I am personally involved in this case, I am avery good friend of the victims fiancée I must say hate for Mr Rao has never surfaced. This may be due to the fact that “self-defence” has been thrown around or just that a lot of the facts of the incident seem to have been muddied. I’m sure Mr Rao and Mr Seuala (if he were here) would undoubtedly regret their actions that night. The person who ultimately pays the price is my friend and her two young children.

And knowledge of the judicial system.

Someone’s criminal history is always a factor in sentencing…..well it gets mentioned anyway.

Gwen should get themselves a Bex and a Yr.10 certificate

About the only thing murdered in this thread is Gwen’s spelling

!!(sp!)

gwen, unless you were actually there when the stabbing occurred you really have no idea what happened. just because someone does something ‘bad’ once (or maybe even several times) doesn’t mean that they are ‘evil’ or that everything they do after that is with maliscious intent.

Gwen if someone does something wrong press charges. It is terrible that someone kicked your son in the head. If this is true your son had a moral responsibility to assist in the removal of an allegedly violent person.

It is one thing I don’t understand, people who are the victims of something terrible (violence/rape etc) and don’t do anything. Invariably they are morally responsible for the next atrocity that the person commits.

why would anyone kick someone in the head for no reason. Obviously your son had done something and doesn’t want to tell you about it, otherwise why didn’t he press charges?

Rao I hope you rott in jail. Who are you to assualt my son, remember in May 2006 you kicked him in the head just for sitting on his chair, he got 5 stitches because of you. You think you are so tough with a knife, you murder someone, what about his family and love one now the have to live with pain for the ret of their life, I hope you live with pain for the rest of your life. I suppose my son was lucky after all with getting only 5 stitches. You are evil and you will pay for the crime you committed, what goes around comes around. I hope the judge throws the book at you they should check on the history you have full of assaults. Rott in jail evil Rao
