Reasonably priced hairdressing and guitar lessons in Canberra?

I need some advice for accessing local services. I am after a hairdresser that has a realistic price structure (hairdresser at Ainslie wants $75 for a trim – bahahaha) and I am also looking at options to get my daughter started off in guitar lessons.

Location for both services is Inner city/north preferred.

Can’t help you with the hairdressing but Kurt Roberts is an excellent northside guitar teacher:

For guitar lessons try this list: http://www.musicteacher.com.au/directory/canberra-act/lessons/guitar/

also, Ainslie hair in is reasonably priced .. for a reason.

Just Cuts are about the cheapest. It doesn’t matter if you get a bad cut, hair grows quickly anyway. Or else there is the CIT Hairdressing school.

I really don’t understand this point of view. Yes, hair grows back, but of you’re going to have to wear a hat for however many weeks, it defeats the whole purpose of having a professional haircut.

You might as well but a pudding basin and a set of shears.

Please note I am not referring to Just Cuts, as I have never been there.

OP, there are quite a few hairdressers in Dickson, some of which often seem empty. You could try a walk in to get the best deal, if you are just after a cut and have a sense of adventure.

Our boy has guitar lessons at Pirana Music Academy. Located above the Pirana Music store in Heffernan St, Mitchell. His teacher is great and he is very happy there.

Take a look at Music for Everyone, based at the Ainslie Arts Centre. Mfe.org.au
A relative of mine teaches guitar there – ask for Shell.

For the guitar, you might want to consider having a look at this online course http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-000-BeginnersCourse.php

While I can’t help with guitar lesson recommendations, I can help with the hairdresser. If’ you’re prepared to travel to Gungahlin, Arpege Hair offers reasonable prices for good cuts. $43 is the cost for ladies cuts. Give them a call to check their other prices.
