The blurb on this YouTube snippet is possibly the creepiest thing I’ve ever read.

The price of celebrity perhaps. Good luck to her in the big smoke.

UPDATE: The comments on this one has got some vintage crazy. Enjoy!

Someone say my name? Did I miss something? Oh fukkit! Golden opportunity, wasted!

Her latest facebook status update makes me think Mr Gillespie is on the loose in pheasants nest.

That’s what we say now whenever a claim is made here, right?

2004 called, it wants its meme back.

(I’m aware of the irony of using such a hackneyed line, just so we’re clear)

Either having a large number of sexual partners is OK, in which case so is talking about it, or it isn’t, in which case you need to explain why.

(I might add that this is a rather odd stance from somebody who’s happy enough to state to 20K readers that the last thing women do when they leave Canberra is sleep with him.)

Well WMC, it turns out you’re not the final arbiter of all things.

Woody Mann-Caruso9:48 am 28 Oct 10

diminish their own respectability by going on Four Corners and national media to tell about the joys of being drilled by entire rugby teams, we give up the pretense of respecting that individual.

Because if a woman chooses to have many sexual partners (however many ‘many’ is – more than you, presumably), she ceases to be respectable. Got it.

Just for future reference, though, can you give me some guidelines around this? Is it a tiered thing – you know, you have sex with four footballers you’re OK, but five makes you a dumb sl*t? Or is it marginal, like tax – vestigal virgin, decent sort, scrag, slapper, slattern, sl*t…? Is there a time limit? Minimum gap between roots? Or is it the talking about it that was the problem? Because we have two kids so that sends a pretty strong signal that my wife has had sex at least that many times (we can only presume with me – maybe they’re David Beckham’s kids). Where does that leave her, making her ‘activities’ so clear to the public?

Maybe she should wear a veil. A black one. Right down to her toes.

I think it’s the seeking of publicity for it that trips the threshold myself.

This is how witch burnings came about in mediaeval times.

Gillespie’s post on YouTube wasn’t to my taste but it was pretty unexceptional. The crowd of angry hysterical superstitious villagers here have collectively suffered and demonstrated for us a well-known psychological condition…

georgesgenitals said :

I just read through it too, and I’m a bit surprised a lot of that was even allowed.

Lesson 1:
Rioters in general respect women, the default position is ‘respect women’, but when individual women go out of the way to diminish their own respectability by going on Four Corners and national media to tell about the joys of being drilled by entire rugby teams, we give up the pretense of respecting that individual.

Lesson 2:
Rioters can sense when there’s blood in the water; they go into a bit of a frenzy.

Lesson 3:
Frenzied Rioters sometimes should be kept on a thick chain, you don’t want to be on the receiving end of one.

(And the marriage that we were talking about is over, apparently.)

It could be said that the majority of rioters have respect for women who respect themselves.

Comparing Charmyne Palavi and Erin Molan is like apples and oranges.

-No pun intended with the orange part.

Great! I’ll grab the popcorn.

[2]You made this public, remember that!

1. What “warning” to the beautiful women in our city are you referring to? The only favour I did was standing up for what I truly believe is right. Problem is, it is an uphill battle fighting against a well-established culture of bigotry against men because women are seen to be the unfortunate victims of crimes committed by men a little bit too far.

2. Correction %u2014 Johnboy made it public (by starting this thread). He and others continued to do so after I removed what I made public BY MY OWN CHOOSING. Cached copies or not, it’s not my problem anymore.

The only thing I have left to apologise for is fighting a losing battle against a well-established culture of prejudice.

troll-sniffer1:18 pm 25 Oct 10

Hey Mr Gillespie…

Don’t you hate it when you know you’re in the right, and your opinions are infallible, and you’re the only person in the whole world who can see that? All those other people are misguided fools who have no idea what they’re talking about. If only they would just learn to accept your views as they should the world would be a much better place, wouldn’t it?

I can sympathise with you my man. Why, just last week I was explaining the rationale behing Hitler’s final solution to a bunch of misguided fools down at the local synagogue, I mean no matter how many times I explained it, they just didn’t get it! And last month, when I visited Parents Without Partners to garner support for a new pedophile support group I’m setting up, I was threatened with physical violence! Everyone in society is so narrow-minded aren’t they? You try and tell these people and all they do is contradict your carefully thought out arguments time after time after time.

Yeah mate, you have my sympathy all the way.

Has to be a troll but the increasingly hysterical nature combined with the illogical connections and the ‘I know you are but what am I?’ point to a sub-fifteen teenager. There isn’t any ‘like’ or ‘dude’ in there so perhaps it’s someone with the mind of a 15 year old?

Quite entertaining though and I admire the dedication to stay in character. I would have given up long ago.

creative_canberran12:58 pm 25 Oct 10

Has anyone ever read the the letter’s Hinkley sent to Jodie Foster prior to his assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan. They had some obvious traits, a pattern of speech indicating familiarity, a hint of jealousy and annoyance at unattainability and an overt theme of unfounded and shallow romantic interest born from seeing her performance in Taxi rather than any knowledge of Ms Foster herself.

The point is his comments share these traits. Further, it is well known that we sensor ourselves even with the anonymity of online. So if he wrote all that, one can speculate what else he thought and didn’t write.
Now I’ve met a couple of fellow like this guy in person and they creep out women. One was fired for his actions.
Get some help.

There’s that on the one hand, but on the other:

– how many blokes do you know who are obsessed with Prisoner and Home and Away?
– how many blokes talk about other blokes using words like ‘horny guy’ or ‘some man in her life’?
– what bloke says ‘I heard she is pregnant’ and knows the relationship / pregnancy status of B-grade female celebrities?

The boundaries are crossed when this extends into personal attacks and accusations that I had broken various sections of the Crimes Act, accompanied by creepy digs of Google caches of removed material which I had chosen to remove, to twist what I had said into implied and unfounded accusations of a serious and inflammatory nature.

If not, then it’s worrying. The fact that he referred to her as a ‘TV princess’ is laughable, but then going on to refer to her as a ‘sexy thing’ and making completely unfounded remarks about her personal life is repugnant. I wonder if Gillespie has any women at all in his life who he respects. Because I bet if he spoke like that to any woman he knew in real life, he’d be limping away from the conversation.

What on earth makes it alright for you to speak about anyone that way? It’s not a joke, it’s not just a bit of fun, it’s horrible and sexist, and it makes me ill to think that there are still people like you around in this day and age. Go back to the fifties, bro.

The term refers to a “hatred” of women. I think you might be in for a big surprise in that regard in the very near future.

Dangerous to make assumptions.

Very dangerous.

Goodnight!

Personally, I didn’t find the video comments that creepy or offensive.

Just dumb. And not funny.

Larry David is funny.

This is more like the kind of thing some pre-teen writes on the bathroom wall about the popular girl.

And to answer one of the queries in the original video comments: Erin Molan only covers sport because she’s the sport reporter.

Keanu Reeves: Whoa.

Mr Gillespie – Misogyny is a non-issue? You don’t seriously mean that do you??

OK then, why do you consider it such a big issue that you have to go to all the trouble to drag a good man’s name through the mud over it?? Innocent men have to defend their reputations because of those poor, hard-done-by women who COMPLAIN about “mysogiony” (apologies for misspelling, I’m only human) day in and day out, even if they are mere words on a fricken screen.

No wonder I feel so disinclined to care 2 rat shits about such women.

JessicaNumber11:10 pm 24 Oct 10

No those are not hate speech, they are insults and they are probably unnecessary.

Your comments about news readers and subsequent denial that anyone should be offended are misogynist. If this kind of content is allowed to go unchallenged then all women suffer a little. How would my job go if I was considered a sex object? Do sexy teachers get respected for the skills they work hard to develop?

But I have no desire to insult you personally or as part of any group. Just please stop damaging the world I have to live in.

Mr Gillespie, loosen off that grip a little, mate – you’re cutting off the blood supply to your brain.

(By the way, that was just a J.O.K.E – so please don’t take any offence!)

Who said anything about hate speech? Half of it is hate speech directed at me, so that sorta cancels out your argument there, doesn’t it?

Now who’s being a creepy stalker……

1. I am accused of stalking Erin Molan
2. My accusers (who, chances are, have never personally met the said Erin Molan, but instead likely get off on finding something to troll about on a discussion blog, I can bet they’re not doing this for their friend Erin Molan) my accusers go digging around for information to support their case, and come up with some more muck to sling around for their and their friend’s satisfaction.
3. While in the course of their muck-raking, they uncover information about my YouTube page and make inferences based on that, and bring a new one %u2014 Louise Milligan %u2014 into the mix, in order to feed their vile and perverse accusations.
4. Now, the issue has turned onto my unique taste in TV programs, based on what the muckrakers have dug up from my YouTube channel (where they found the Erin Molan blurb in the first place)

So…..

If I am the dirty, creepy, evil stalker that you are obviously enjoying making me out to be, then what would you call someone who digs around the Internet looking for all sorts of other muck or some other reason to poke fun at my expense? Hm?

Think about it, ay.

Now, on your second point, about sexual availability:
(a) Common gossip. I was simply gossiping. You are making a mountain over a molehill. Get the f*** over it.
(b) It was a light-hearted remark. Get the f*** over it.

The Louise Milligan one was a JOKE. Just like the Erin Molan one.

Want me to spell it for you? J.O.K.E.

And this is what my dictionary defines the word “JOKE”

joke |d???k|
noun
a thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter, esp. a story with a funny punchline : she was in a mood to tell jokes.
%u2022 a trick played on someone for fun.
%u2022 [in sing. ] informal a person or thing that is ridiculously inadequate : the transportation system is a joke.
verb [ intrans. ]
make jokes; talk humorously or flippantly : she could laugh and joke with her colleagues | [with direct speech ] “It’s OK, we’re not related,” she joked.

It is obvious you are having a lot of trouble understanding what I am saying here when I say I was only JOKING.

That depends on what you mean by “commonsense and decency”, The Frots.

So far I have seen very little of that in this thread thus far.

Instead all I have seen is?just like what I said would happen at the start: evil, nasty things being read into my blurbs about Erin Molan (and now also, Louise Milligan) by immature minds with a warped sense of humour.

My posting on YouTube was never meant to be anything more than a bit of a laugh.

The people who need help are the paranoid ones who take such a joke waaay too seriously.

Anyway…… I’m not counting on commonsense to win over the idiocy here anytime soon, which is sad.

Dare I say flame of the week?

Give it up pal……………you got nowhere to go with this only further down the drain. And judging by the posts so far, your’ve been circling it for some time now. Do yourself a favour – cease and desist……….this will never be a winner for you, it simply can’t be as common sense and decency will prevail in this thread.

Do you have any concept that you might have crossed the line? I don’t have to answer to you or anyone for that matter, who has posted publicly on RiotACT about this matter.

The more threats you make (which is in your case more digging of Google caches), the worse it makes your case look.

Ask yourselves, who the hell are you to stand the high moral ground, demonising somebody you don’t even know, just for the sake of a bit of fun at my expense.

A common denominator in these harasser’s (now that’s a word!!!)is a degree of narciscm – power, self delusional, anti-social to a point and like the suffering of others, particularly when they inflict it.

But we do read regularly, in comments on this website, men saying “I’d tap it” and other variations on “I’d f*ck her”. Almost always, it’s about identifiable women they don’t know but, because this is a small city, will end up reading the comment.

I’m not suggesting you censor these types of comments. But perhaps the people who post comments – they may even be the same ones who are bagging out Mr Gillespie – should think twice about what they write about women.

Good idea, c_c, it%u2019s probably time she had her say in all this.

If you want to talk about creeps and bullies, I’ll tell you who the bullies are. The bullies are the “women” in your AVO scenario who think they are innocent little kittens yet think all men are creepy, and act on those beliefs at the detriment of innocent men who wouldn’t even hurt a fly.

hmmmm… how many red flags can you post against your character?

I was giving benefit of doubt to you in the beginning, but now I wonder about your level of sanity. Serial offenders carry on with this type of defense… you’re a creep and I’m unsettled that you live in our city.

Ah, the old “wouldn’t hurt a fly” line. Quick check of google reveals it’s used in more or less equal measure to describe victims and perpetrators. Not my place to say which in this case, particularly without having read what was posted originally.

If interested, article at http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/science-small-talk/200904/wouldnt-hurt-fly
(just read the last two paragraphs if you’re in a hurry – big article).

Mr Gillespie – you put it out there, people have judged it. If you’re that happy with your comments, re-post them. If you can’t handle public criticism/comment, then don’t post anything at all, or post more thoughtfully next time.

JB, I admire your patience in dealing with Gillespie and his silly legal threats. As New Yorkers would say, he should see a psychiatrist.

I am not sorry I fancy Erin Molan, and there is plenty of evidence to prove there are hundreds if not thousands of other guys who think likewise.

Well I don’t feel that way towards her. I found her reporting style to be flip and superficial and was symbolic of how WIN News has declined since the death of Peter Leonard.

Her “try it out Tuesday” segment could well have been called “try hard Tuesday”. I feel sorry for the various sportsmen who had to take time out for extended periods during training – often at critical times in the season – to participate in her antics.

The parallel I draw is with Mike Willesee in 1981 who tried to turn A Current Affair into a comedy show. Regional stations dropped the show and he was forced to go back to serious current affairs after the ratings dropped almost to zero. In the case of WIN News let’s hope the departure of Molan will see a return to serious sports reporting rather than shallow and airheaded nonsense.

I think she is a fox too and that is okay but you didn’t just cross the line you long jumped it. Give it a rest and go outside and socialise.

How many AVOs have you suffered from, Mr Gillespie?

Johnboy, Erin Molan doesn’t exactly strike me as the frigid, cold, neurotic bitch that takes out AVOs on men that show even the slightest bit of fancying of her.

Erin has this same image in her gallery on a networking site. Take note: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SHzklD52ApM/THfAOsQxORI/AAAAAAAAB2U/KRg2gpOZRD0/s640/Twilight_Stalkers.jpg

In her own words, a comment on the photo: “TAKE NOT STALKERS… TAKE NOTE”

You really have an overactive imagination Creative Canberran.

The creepy SOBs are the paranoid ones who read into things that are not really there %u2014 I mean %u2014 “obvious problem engaging with women”? “suppressed anger that could prove dangerous if let loose”? Excuse me??? What makes you come to those conclusions??

If I am a sick puppy, then what would you call all those other guys who say the things that they say about Erin, are they sick puppies too?

“The bullies are the women”… oh god people, we have a really creepy SOB here. Someone with an obvious problem engaging with women and a suppressed anger that could prove dangerous if let loose.

I didn’t read the original post and cannot pass judgement on it.
Based though on your responses here, I would fully support the sentiments and advice of our overlord JB: think about your life. Because you’re obviously one sick puppy.

BTW, I might mention to Erin what you’ve written here.

Not only will I not miss her, I may even start watching WIN News again. Although it%u2019s a shame the charming, radiant and delectable Ms J. Goode has moved on.

I don%u2019t think I ever heard J.G. stuff up an autocue read.

-Which is amazing, given some of the stuff the WIN hacks gave her to translate into intelligible English.

I met Jessica out some months ago. She is a very classy and attractive lady. Friendly too. Good luck to her!

Call me cowardice Your Honour, but I maintain my plea of Not Guilty. The text will not be reposted due to it being open to the abuses like that demonstrated here. I withhold on the grounds people will misinterpret the text, and will use it to their own advantage at my detriment as I have done nothing wrong.

The only thing I will plead Guilty to is the fact that I fancy the chick in question here, I find her attractive, and I feel any other normal feeling a man feels about such a woman.

Over to the peanut gallery.

Yeah? So why take down your vid? Why not post the text here for others to judge?

See #13, regarding bigotry.

If you think I am “creepy” just for saying those things in the vid, then I am sorry, but with respect Johnboy, you have got the wrong end of the stick.

I am not sorry I fancy Erin Molan, and there is plenty of evidence to prove there are hundreds if not thousands of other guys who think likewise. Take for instance, the discussion thread about Canberra needing our own Sandra Sully. Does that ring any bells?

Post your text. Or admit you crossed the line. Anything else is cowardice.

Mr Gillespie said :

The judge will throw out any such frivolous application, and you risk being in contempt of court.

People who take out AVOs in such frivolous circumstances should be made to repay the court costs that arise from such blatant abuses of the system that is meant to protect those who are in GENUINE danger.

I do love a bulldust legal threat, but this is the best one ever.

I risk being in contempt of court for a matter that has never seen the doorstep of a court?

You’re a bully, and a creep. And you need to think about your life really, really hard.

I often wonder how Mr Palmer feels about this…

In your case I’ll happily stand witness to support her application.

Mr Gillespie10:45 pm 23 Oct 10

“Creepy”, “stalker”, favourite keywords of the bigotry I refer to.

Dude, if it was you then you really need to rethink your approach to everything. She could have taken out an AVO on that revolting crap.

Ohhhh. Not good then. I found her okay actually. But regardless, no-one needs that crap….or did I mean creep………

Removed due to too many narrow-minded bigots reading the most evil things into what was only a bit of fun and a bit of a laugh.

Sorry, but I am very disappointed at those attitudes. It is sad that such bigotry spoils the fun for the rest of us.

Maybe she’ll find a role that suits her, but for one, I won’t miss her.
My only wish is that she continues moving further away.

Might be me but I tried to see it on YouTube and it seems to have been removed already. What were the salient points…??

troll-sniffer12:06 pm 23 Oct 10

In between watching the clip and going back to see the comment it seems to have been removed… a smart move by the coc khead who put the comment in if you ask me…

Mr Gillespie12:03 pm 23 Oct 10

What’s wrong with thinking she is beautiful??? I’m only saying what everyone else thinks! Hardly makes me a “STALKER”!!

Waiting For Godot10:13 am 23 Oct 10

The blurb is longer than the clip. The things some people post to YouTube . . .

For someone that claims to love Erin so much you’d think creepy stalker dude could get her name right.
