Recommendations for LPG certified mechanic in Mitchell

I’ve just moved into the Gunghalin area, which now means sorting out a new mechanic. I was looking for someone who can handle servicing etc & LPG rego inspections for a dual fuel Ford falcon. I was warned (~2 years ago) by one LPG fitter that there were a few dodgy operators about…

Any suggestions or recommendations for anyone in Mitchell would be great.

Thanks!

Hi this-is-a-name,

A good accountant and a good mechanics are rare these days specially in canberra.

We have recently moved to Bonner and tried few mechanics but went back to Adrian at Ultimate Tunes. Good mob and knows there trade well. All our family cars are now been serviced by him and they are quite flexible when you need some thing done urgently.

http://www.ultimatetunes.com.au is what good old google gave. Would surely recommend them.

My 2 cents.

Mechanics are not dodgy. I mean what would they get out of ripping people off?

Hi. We use Rob at Premier Automotive in Mitchell. We have been going to him for about 12 years, he is really great, I can say the car is doing this, this and this… and he will always guess what it is and is always right, he always calls if there is anything out of the ordinary and tells me if it is urgent or can wait till next time. Every time I have asked about how much something will be he gives a rough guess and not once has he been over. The mechanics will explain what they have done to your car and why. All of our family now use him, that would be about ten of our cars he services, even my in-laws wait till they come back to Canberra to have their car serviced. I doubt you would ever have any problems and I highly recommend him.

I’ll do it. Gimme $5000 and your car, and I’ll have it back, completed, in half an hour.

Promise.

I forget his name but he is up the back near Magnet Mart. Give him the swerve.

Gregorys Ford – was in Braddon is now part of John McGrath Ford and moved to Mitchell

Cuthbert Engineering in Hoskins St. They fitted the LPG dual fuel system to my 1970 HT Kingswood, and I could not be happier with them (obviously they handle modern cars as well). It’s been in for over 2 years and never a problem. They do mechanical work for some of the big dealers and are very reliable.

Mitchell Service Centre 62427030 (just behind Repco)

They are a good workshop, do a lot of LPG stuff, and look after their customers.

I take my dual fuel Falcon to Mitchel Service Centre

They are an LPG specialist and I have always had a good experience with them, very friendly and they call you before any work is done that may cost extra. I don’t live in Gungahlin anymore but I will make the drive from the Northside to still get it serviced there.

Don’t one of the Ford dealers have their service dept in Mitchell, or am I getting them confused with Canberra Toyota?
