Recommendations for lunch near Garran please

I am coming up from the coast, probably early next week, to visit a friend in TCH.

While I’m there I would like to take his wife out for lunch, to give her a bit of time out.

Can someone please recommend a nice cafe/restaurant, relatively near the hospital, which won’t keep us hanging around all afternoon but will still make her feel a bit special.

Is that place in the Chifley shops still going and is it still any good?

TIA

Swinger Hill is just across Hindmash drive on Ainsworth from the hospital, I think it has three restaurants Italian Chinese and Indian

210 Degrees Patisserie & Bakery @ Hughes Shops. Lovely sausage rolls 🙂

Not the same kind of cafe as you’re being suggested at #1 & #2, but a good quick bite to eat none-the-less.

The Palette Cafe at Beaver Galleries in Deakin can be okay at times. And it’s generally peaceful and calm.

But also agree about trying A Bite to Eat first.

I presume you are talking about A Bite To Eat. It’s been a few months since I was there but I’m sure it still is. It can get crowded on weekends, but I went for a late lunch on a weekday and didn’t wait at all. You may also like to look at Delissio in Curtin – but check if they do lunch on the day you need.
